Since the client doesn’t have an in-house design and research team, they are outsourcing us with a retainer contract. As part of this retainer, I’m working as a lead designer multiple days a week for more than 3 years with tight communication with the client and agile workflow in each new project.

Since I joined, Jernia’s Design System has been greatly optimised both in Figma infrastructure and in front-end using Storybook. This allows for a more unified design throughout every new project without any mess and hard to find files. When there’s a better overview of all the existing structure, it’s possible to gradually update brand’s style step by step.

Jernia has taken large steps towards guided shopping for people who are not so familiar with Jernia’s product catalog or what product they want to buy.

Category restructuring in the main navigation ensures better browsing of main product categories.

Product selection wizard for paint products makes it easier to understand which product best suits user’s needs without any prior knowledge of complicated paint product world.

With a unified design system it’s also possible to alignjernia.nodesign with the internal tool Jernia HUB which is used by store employees on tablet devices to easily create refund claims or orders for clients at the physical store.
