Creation of new visual identity for the homepage with a lengthy design discovery phase.
Leading the user interface design process for an e-commerce site that opperates a bit differently than a typical e-commerce site does.
Large scale design system together with design screens for all the user flows, with the main focus on mobile usability due to 80% of traffic coming from small screens.
Identifying problems and users
At first we had multiple interviews with stakeholders and users to see what kind of problems they can identify in the old solution. Combining that with taking a look at existing page analytics gave a clear overview of what are our customers.
Laying out customer journey maps
After that came multiple remote workshops together with the client to understand different target group personas, their flows and how they go from first page visit to placing an order.
Design discovery for new solution’s vision and new design system
Large design discovery phase with moodboarding, multiple design review sessions both with in-house designers and client to align on design vision for the new solution and design system.
Collaborative work with the team while designing and implementing rest of the screens
When design vision had been approved, we started a long and collaborative process together with development team and client to create design screens for multiple flows. Having daily stand-ups and weekly calls with stakeholders helped the process to be as smooth as possible because we were able to discuss and identify problems early.
